Frequently Asked Questions
Queer Scout offers a variety of LGBTQ+ experiences, including bar crawls, dining experiences & foodie adventures, gay salsa dancing lessons, drink and dance nights, gay boat tours, and cultural experiences. We offer both public tours/experiences with set departures where you can join other travelers, and private experiences tailored to your group’s interests.
You can easily book an experience through our website by selecting the desired experience and completing the booking form. A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking, with the final payment due 72 hours before the event. Once booked, we’ll be in touch to request additional information, including a copy of your passport and immigration entry stamp, to help us finalize the details of your experience.
We just want to see how hot you are before you get here 😉
Seriously though, we’re required by Colombian law to collect a copy of your passport and immigration entry stamp before your experience begins. That way, we can:
Waive the 19% value-added tax (IVA) that’s typically charged to Colombian citizens and residents.
Enroll you in the mandatory traveler insurance that covers you during your Queer Scout experience.
No passport, no party (literally). It’s all part of keeping things smooth, safe, and stress-free.
For our public outings with set departures, the minimum number of participants may vary depending on the tour, and this minimum will be listed in the tour description. If the minimum is not met, you will have the option to pay an additional fee to make the activity private, choose an alternative date, or receive a full refund. Private experiences do not have a minimum participant requirement.
Yes, you can cancel your booking. If you cancel 72 hours in advance, you'll receive a full refund. Canceling 48 hours in advance will get you a 50% refund. Unfortunately, cancellations made 24 hours or less before the event will not be refunded.
Absolutely! We are happy to tailor the experience to your group's interests. Contact us with your ideas, and we'll do our best to accommodate them.
Each experience is different, so we’ll provide specific details on what to bring in the tour info page and in your booking confirmation. This may include recommendations for clothing, items to bring, or any special preparations needed.
In some cases, ground transportation is included in the experience. This will be clearly listed in the inclusions section of the tour/experience description. For experiences where transportation is not included, we can organize it for your group at an additional cost.
While Queer Scout primarily offers experiences in Medellín, we can assist you if you’re looking to explore other Colombian destinations like Bogotá, Cartagena, or Santa Marta. Contact us, and we’ll be happy to present options offered by our partners. If you’re seeking a more full-service experience with a complete itinerary, consider reaching out to our collaborative partner OUT in Colombia.
By booking an experience with Queer Scout, you agree to our full terms of service. These can be found at www.thequeerscout.com/termsofservice.
